The Liberian Empowerment Party

The Liberian Empowerment Party

The Liberian Empowerment Party seeks to create and increase the political, social, or economic strength of the individual Liberian and our respective communities. Without a plan and a genuine goal for our existence and our future, our tomorrow and those of our children stand bleak as we see today. After nearly 170 years, we rank as one of the poorest nations and one of the most corrupt of all times.

we are in these categories because we have trusted certain individuals with our lives, our monies, our natural resources, our children, and in fact our entire nation for all those times. what we get back is a continual message of hope; yet they stab us in our backs by delivering the worst blows of economic and political marginalization, marred by extreme poverty and mass corruption almost comparable to nowhere I know.

The great Reggae singer, Bob Marley once said, as I paraphrase,“you can fool some people some times, but you can’t fool all the people all the time.” Today we are going to the ballot box. It is left with us to be fooled all the time, or learn the lessons from our past, and redirect the path of our great country Liberia. More than that, we can not afford to preserve our vintage wine in outdated wine skins that will only ruin the flavor and value our priceless wine (Liberia).

on those grounds, I urge you all, fellow Liberians, to join hands around Counselor Flomo and me to be your next servants for a true change for the next six years to come. As we enter office, we enter strategically planning, as we consider where we are, what do we have to work with, where do we want to be at the end of the sixth year, and how we can get there, together as a nation.

We are not the big names with the big doctorate degrees; but we are the small efficient names that strive in humility, integrity, and virtues. I come from a poor family and know what it is, as a child to go with hunger. I know what it is to sleep on the mart near the fireplace without electricity. I know what it is to walk four to five miles on a narrow foot path to and from school. I know what it is to run from shootings of militias and their commanders. I know what it is when your loved ones are killed in cold blood while those who give the orders live in Western Countries with their wives and husbands driving air-conditioned cars.

Counselor Flomo and I will stand with you, listen to you and try our best to accomplish what you hire us for.

Respectfully,

Rev. Hananiah Zoe
